Being Girl

Linda Cardellini says what?

Linda Cardellini currently starring as Velma Dinkley, the brains of Mystery, Inc., in the Warner Bros. blockbuster hit "Scooby-Doo," has graciously consented to answering beinggirl's celebrity q and a this month. This live-action feature based on the popular cartoon series grossed an incredible incredible $54 million it's opening weekend, which prompted Warner Bros. to accelerate negotiations for a sequel starring the original cast.

Linda first made her mark in the critically acclaimed NBC series "Freaks and Geeks," She starred as Lindsay Weir, a precocious academic decathlete who experiences a crisis of faith after witnessing the death of her grandmother. Her witty and biting portrayal of a teenager experiencing a crisis of faith still resonates among the shows cult following

She has had roles in the hit comedies "Legally Blonde," "Good Burger," "Dead Man on Campus" with Tom Everett Scott and Marc-Paul Gosselaar; the thriller "Strangeland;" and the independent feature "The Unsaid," opposite Andy Garcia. Aside from her breakout role on "Freeks and Geeks," Linda's television work also includes "The Lot" for AMC, "Guys Like Us," and "Bone Chillers." Her guest appearances include "3rd Rock from the Sun," "Boy Meets World," "Clueless" and "Pacific Palisades." Here's a glimpse into who this beautiful young star really is.

The most surprising thing about being famous is...That I'm famous...am I?

In high school my idol/hero was...Mother Theresa

The one thing I hope will never change is...My relationship with my family

When I came home from school I always...ate grilled cheese or ramen noodles

It really makes me crazy when...my allergies act up

The most unforgettable place I've ever been was...Thailand

In a perfect world I'd look more like...Vivien Leigh

The last time I was alone,...I took care of my neglected errands

If I could do one thing over I'd...have read the books in high school I was supposed to read from cover to cover

The last thing that took my breath away was...seeing a friend's baby

I wish I were good at...painting and drawing

The one thing I could never throw out is...my teddy bear

The habit my friends find most annoying about me is...picking at and biting my fingernails.

Recently I was tempted to...shut off my phone and sleep all day long

I became more confident when...I learned there is no one way to go about anything

The person I was most excited to meet in real life was...Margaret Keane (the painter)

All my life I've had a sense that...everything is temporaryThe accomplishment

I'm most proud of is...bringing my family to places they have never been (i.e. Australia and Greece)

By next year at this time,...I hope to be a more positive person

If God keeps a ledger... I hope I'm doing o.k.
